Harmony Cafe is a nonprofit organization located in Patchogue, NY.
Harmony Cafe has two new programs because of the Covid-19 Criss.
All work is remote and can be done from home. You will need a phone
and a computer in order to complete the tasks needed for this position.
Harmony Cafe can no longer host social meal events. We now are helping aid in the disaster with food relief. We are making free food deliveries to the homebound as well as hosting a grab and go site on Saturdays.
We are using the VFW hall at 32 Edwards Street in Patchogue as our headquarters at this time.
On our website, we set up COVID 19 relief pages that offer assistance
The forms are in English and Spanish. We are in need of a volunteer to take information and give
information to and from our Spanish speaking clients by telephone. Not all clients use the form
on our website because of various reasons. We need a volunteer to take phone calls and relay back to us
the information, The calls will not be steady and mainly come in a day before the grab and go.
All information is private and we must keep all the information confidential. This will be discussed in great detail.
We desire someone with experience in social work or community outreach. You must be able to speak and write in Spanish, You must be professional and follow our privacy policy rules.

Our Vision: We strive to build a healthy community by providing delicious and nutritious food in a respectful and dignified manner to anyone who walks through the door and wants to contribute to our community. We envision that the quality of the food and the comfortable atmosphere will draw people from all walks of life and entice them to become involved. Volunteers will feel satisfied by their experience on many levels because the cafe is a vehicle that positively impacts our community environmentally, economically, and socially.
History Since April 2016, Harmony Cafe has hosted meal events, primarily at the VFW hall on Edwards Street in Patchogue, NY. We use a Pay-What-You-Can pricing donation model, which can be exchanged for volunteer hours. This encourages more community involvement and allows us to encourage people to join us from all socioeconomic backgrounds. During the pandemic, we switched to emergency food relief. In 2021, we added a wellness program that provides health education and access to healthy food.
