Pet Adoption Network

  • 2 people are interested

Come and be a part of making history; for the first time ever we are building a Development Committee for Pet Adoption Network.

We are a no kill cat organization (all volunteer based) and have been serving the community for over 15 years. We specialize in cat rescue, fostering and adoptions. Since opening, we have helped 3000 felines find safe and loving homes.

Currently, we have 4 members serving on our newly formed development committee are in need of four more people; one secretary, one copywriter, and two people with strong fundraising, sales and soliciting skills.

The Development Committee is responsible for three events per year; our Volunteer Appreciation Event (August), Cocktails for Cats (October), and TBD.

We are growing our Cocktails for Cats event from a fundraiser to a benefit; with this being our major event that will keep the lights, heat and air conditioning on all year at the center. Our yearly operating costs are $10K per year. This does not include extra medical expenses needed for abused, wounded, or newly rescued felines.

Please feel free to contact me if you are interested in learning more or to see if your skills would be a good match for our Committee.

Thank you,
Ria Tafani; Chair Development Committee

About Pet Adoption Network

Location:

4261 Culver Road, Rochester, NY 14622, US

Mission Statement

Our Mission will be to rescue homeless pets, obtain veterinary care for them and make them available for permanent placement with responsible guardians. No adoptable pet will be euthanized solely for lack of a permanent home. We will strive for increased public awareness of the need to spay/neuter and vaccinate pets, and educate the public on the proper care of companion animals. This effort is intended to reduce the large population of homeless pets, primarily in the City of Rochester.

Description

Pet Adoption Network was founded in January of 2003. We are an all volunteer organization dedicated to the rescue, care and welfare of domestic animals. We have no shelter, our animals live in foster homes until a permanent home is found. We care for the animals giving them love, shelter and veterinary care. Pets available for adoption are shown at our Adoption Center at 4261 Culver Road every Sat & Sun from 12-4pm.
