Join Habitat for Humanity Greater Fresno Area as an AmeriCorps Neighborhood Revitalization Crew Leader! AmeriCorps members experience a rewarding and fun year of service while contributing to building homes, communities and hope. The AmeriCorps member will serve with the Acts of Kindness program completing minor beautification and repair projects with a focus on volunteer engagement.

The primary position responsibilities include:

  • Service schedule: Monday - Friday, 9am - 5pm, with occasional evenings or Saturdays
  • Assist with volunteer management to ensure a positive volunteer experience, including orientations and safety briefings, volunteer tracking and sign-in, leading volunteer groups and recruitment.
  • Assist with hands-on revitalization tasks including, but not limited to, site preparation, painting, demolition, blight remediation, and minor repairs. Projects may include Acts of Kindness, exterior paint, critical home repair and weatherization projects.
  • Assist with materials management, sourcing of weekly Acts of Kindness projects, and community outreach.
  • Document neighborhood revitalization projects through photos and written reports.

Habitat for Humanity Fresno County seeks to end poverty housing in the county of Fresno by uniting individuals, families and communities to build decent, affordable housing. We work in partnership with God and people everywhere, from all walks of life, to develop communities with Godys people in need by building and renovating houses so that there are decent houses in decent communities in which people can live and grow into all that God intended. Habitat is based on the conviction that Christian discipleship must be lived out in practical ways which help to lift burdens from the shoulders of others.

Volunteers support the work and mission of Habitat For Humanity by helping with fundraising, building homes, home repairs, and supporting our Restore locaitons.
