Join Habitat for Humanity Greater Fresno Area as an AmeriCorps ReStore Development and Volunteer Services VISTA! AmeriCorps VISTA members experience a rewarding and fun year of service while contributing to building homes, communities and hope. The AmeriCorps VISTA member will serve with the ReStore, a retail establishment providing affordable home improvement items to the community while financially supporting Habitat’s mission, with a focus on volunteer engagement.
The primary position responsibilities include:
- Service schedule: Tuesday - Saturday, 8:45am - 5pm, with occasional evenings or Mondays
- Assist with ReStore volunteer engagement, including recruitment, retention, tracking, onboarding/orientations, and appreciation.
- Research, develop and implement ReStore marketing opportunities to increase volunteer and community awareness of ReStore operations.
- Research, develop and support funding opportunities for volunteer engagement and ReStore development.
- Research and implement safety guidelines, especially regarding youth and volunteers.
- Research, develop/enhance and implement standard policies and procedures for operating a ReStore and assess areas of improvement.

Habitat for Humanity Fresno County seeks to end poverty housing in the county of Fresno by uniting individuals, families and communities to build decent, affordable housing. Volunteers support the work and mission of Habitat For Humanity by helping with fundraising, building homes, home repairs, and supporting our Restore locaitons.
