Chicagoland Animal Rescue, NFP is a small, all-volunteer cat rescue organization based out of the Downers Grove PetSmart at Butterfield & Finley Rd.
We are in need of foster homes to help prepare the cats in our rescue for adoption. This is a quick video about us!
Chicagoland Animal Rescue NFP is looking for people to sign up to be a foster home, so when a cat in need is taken into our group, they have a place to decompress and be evaluated before going to our space at PetSmart or being ready for forever homes! Ideally, you should have some experience with cats, including medication, nail trims, and socializing, but we are willing to consider people who have not had a cat before as well. Foster parents must be 21 years or older only, and all members of the household must be on board with fostering and understand the expectations for doing so. Please fill out the fostering application here.Once you contact us, please keep an eye out for a follow up email from email@example.com (and check your spam folder, too!) within about 24 hours. If you would like more information before filling out the application, please reach out to firstname.lastname@example.org with your questions.
Our ONLY physical location is at the Downers Grove PetSmart, 1550 Butterfield Rd, Downers Grove IL. However, our foster homes should be within a 30-minute distance of the Lombard area (as this is where our veterinarian is located).
If you are unable to volunteer or foster, follow us on social media and share our adoptable cats. Please also consider making a donation to help support cats in need! Thank you for your time!
About CHICAGOLAND ANIMAL RESCUE NFP
PO Box 2133, Northlake, IL 60164, US
We are an all-volunteer foster home rescue. We rescue abandoned, homeless, and unwanted cats from DuPage County Animal Services.
We seek out the cats that need a 'second chance,' often due to no fault of their own. We strive to do the best possible adoptions for both the prospective person/family as well as the cat, and will help you make the best possible decision for your situation. We understand that the adoption process is a thoughtful one, and encourage you to take your time to find your best feline friend.
Our cats are examined by a veterinarian, blood tested, spayed/neutered, vaccinated, and parasite tested/treated. Adopters are provided with medical records, a rabies certificate, and information to help introduce the cat to their home. We also provide information about the cat that we have learned through foster and daily interaction by our volunteers.
