Description
George Awuku was born in the Western African nation of Ghana to a successful businessman and High School teacher. George epitomizes the American immigrant fulfilling the American Dream. His upbringing instilled in him a drive to be efficient and effective in all areas of his life and with the need to help others. It is that need to help others which led him to run for Gwinnett County CommissionChair. With exposure to different cultures, societies and countries, George believes in the success of every child, woman, and man. As an immigrant himself, George makes it a point to encourage others to actively participate in their community. That involvement can be through church, civic board, politics or other community groups. George believes that involvement enriches the American fabric.
