As we bring more and more dogs into the rescue, the need for a solid Outreach team becomes even more crucial. The goal for outreach is to draw in new fosters, new adopters, and new volunteers, as well as connect to past and current fosters/adopters/volunteers to gauge satisfaction, get feedback, and request that they leave us a review! Remember when gathering feedback, even if it's not positive - stay calm, be kind, and don't ever be afraid to remind people that we are 100% volunteer based and do our very best (in a nice way)!
- Adoption Outreach Coordinator: The main focus is drawing in new adopters and introducing them to TAP, as well as getting feedback from past adopters! A creative idea that's currently being put into use for new adopters - taking "about me" print-outs w/ pictures of adoptable TAP dogs to various restaurants and breweries for businesses to use on their to-go orders and growlers! This is especially helpful due to everything being delivery/carryout during this time, but we would love for this to continue even after things go back to normal! Adoptions Outreach will also assist Communications Outreach to reach out to past adopters and see who is willing to leave a Yelp/Google/Facebook review, and help send out surveys to see areas we could improve on.

Mission Statement
The Animal Pad is a nonprofit, all-breed dog rescue based in San Diego, CA that focuses on saving dogs from the streets of Mexico and high kill shelters. We get them the vet care they need, place them in foster homes and then find them loving forever families. Our mission is to form a safe space for dogs experiencing crisis and neglect, and to build a community of compassion through education, rescue, rehabilitation, and adoption. Our community of volunteers and fosters strives to ensure that all dogs get a fighting chance, and believes that no case is too extreme to be helped - meaning our rescue is full of perfectly imperfect dogs who can’t wait to meet you! Being operated solely by volunteers and funded entirely by donations, none of what we do could be possible without our dedicated team!

Here at TAP, we give voice to the voiceless and our mission is to rescue, rehabilitate and find them the best homes possible. Founded in 2010, The Animal Pad is volunteer run and funded entirely by donations. We rescue dogs primarily off the streets of Mexico, and provide them full medical care and a loving foster home to heal in before they head to their adoptive home.
