In the time of physical distancing, the developing countries like Nepal are facing severe resource based challenges in linking people. There are the communities who don’t have these resources and there are the big segments of the population who have access to digital smart devices. The bottleneck lies in the proper use of these devices. Thus, the online volunteering to make people learn the usage of the online channels to ease the life in this time of physical distancing can benefit this small and developing country in the lap of the Himalayas a lot.

VolNepal, in response to the precautionary measures to combat the COVID-19 has come up with this concept of online volunteering in Nepal. As VolNepal has years of experience in connecting the volunteers to the social organizations, we'll find something that fits your skills benefiting the local community with the use of modern technology, thus making you passionate for the cause. As a volunteer, you can work virtually with the social organizations and empower them about the usage of the online tools.

About VolNepal

Nayabazar, Meiphi 16, Kathmadu, NE 44600, NP

Mission Statement

Our mission is to mobilize local community members, grassroots non-profits, and NGOs from diverse sectors and encourage them to work together in order to promote sustainable and responsible reconstruction efforts.

VolNepal was founded in 2000 and registered with the Chief District Administration Office and the Social Welfare Council, Kathmandu in 2005.

VolNepal was created to implement new initiatives and platforms that could better answer the need for communication between volunteers and community groups with NGOs operating both locally and internationally.

VolNepal is an independent organization. In order to maintain our independence we accept funding only from Private individuals donations. This allows us the neutrality to provide for anyone regardless of race, religion, age, gender, caste, creed or political affiliation.

All donations to VolNepal go into one overall fund. This ensures that your donation only goes to those in need. To ensure transparency and a proper allocation of funds, an annual review is carried out by our board of directors and public files are displayed with all the financial reports from all projects.
