At Open Door Legal, we’re pioneering the country’s first system of universal access to civil legal representation to dramatically reduce poverty and prove that the law really can belong to all of us.

We're hiring a summer intern to get practical and hands-on experience in nonprofit and public interest finance and accounting. We anticipate the work being very challenging, unique, and rewarding for you. Day-to-day work includes preparing information for city grant invoicing, documenting legal expenses in case files, and supporting the Director of Finance with monthly account reconciliations. We are a fast-paced, high-volume office and we guarantee that you will not ever be bored.

If you are interested in finance, accounting, or city partnerships, and want to understand both high-level and strategic financial management, then this could be the right opportunity for you. We value students who are passionate about access to civil justice, self-motivated, have high attention to detail and critical thinking skills, and can manage their time very effectively.
