ORGANIZATION: Friends of Strawberry Hill

Volunteer workdays on Strawberry Hill are held every second Saturday of the month. We meet at the Stow Lake Boathouse in Golden Gate Park shortly before 10am and work until noon. No experience is necessary, tools and instruction are provided. Wear comfortable closed-toe shoes and clothing that covers your entire body (long sleeves, long pants, etc.). Tank tops and/or shorts NOT allowed. RSVPs are required.

Our purpose is to encourage and increase biodiversity on Strawberry Hill with a special focus on native butterflies.

Description

Stawberry Hill is located in Golden Gate Park. Surrounded by Stow Lake, it is the highest point in the park, and attracts locals and visitors with beautiful vistas in a natural setting. Restoration work began in 2010 at the top of the hill. Led by San Francisco Rec & Park.
