We are a grassroots organisation based in a semi rural area of Ghana. We focus on the community development and growth of the Kwahu East District focusing on Education, Sports Development and Community Renovations.
You will join as a remote virtual volunteer from your home to assist with the SEO setup and enhancement of our online presence. As a fairly new group and limited resources we have just been able to setup a base care of a website where we list our available placements and further information to try and persuade people to come join the cause out in Ghana!
The website was setup by our management team after learning wordpress on the go so we need someone now with specialised SEO skills and experience to assist with our growth and ensuring we are reaching the largest audience possbile.
Ideally candidates would have international volunteering experience in addition to SEO training to understand the needs and thought process of potential new volunteers.
As a small team running the organisation in our free time, this opportunity gives you the flexibility and freedom to be able to get involved as much as you see fit. We will require SEO development however if you also discover areas where you would like to assist we would love to have people join us on a regular basis. Whether that is content writing, social media management, website readability enhancement etc..

To provide low cost, meaningful volunteer placements in the semi rural area of Kwahu, Ghana. With a direct and lasting impact on the local communities and projects.
Description
Working with local communities directly, we aim to develop sustainable and meaningful volunteer placements working towards the improvement of early development, primary education, language skills, sports development and other social impacts.
Our placements are ran as not for profit and the cheapest international volunteering fees available in Ghana. We provide your shared accommodation, utility bills, support staff and can also arrange an airport collection for you.
We came together as a group of volunteers to setup Atlas at the start of 2018, our mission was to setup an organisation that provided low cost but meaningful volunteer placements in the rural area of Ghana that we all fell in love with. We have been volunteering here ourselves on and off since 2010 and very proud to see the local communities develop little by little, one step at a time. If you want to make a difference and understand that you are coming to assist on a long journey of social impact then perhaps we are the group for you! We're ran by a mix of Ghanaian and British staff who live out in Ghana so you will experience the real way of life out here and work directly with the members of the community on the ground.
Our Education placements are focused across primary schools and kindgerdartens primarily to create a strong foundation for the children to base their future learning on. We also run sports activities as well as renovation of structures in the community such as school buildings, community projects and clinics etc.
