The Dobie School Family Resource Center with Austin Voices for Education & Youth needs volunteers!
Help us distribute 15,000+ pounds of food to over 500 families in Northeast Austin! We will be following all protocols and safety recommendations provided by the CDC in keeping a safe distance from families by providing a drive-thru food distribution service (there will be a short line for families who walk or take the bus).

Shifts:

  • 9:00am-1:30pm

Job Duties:
-unloading food & packing food boxes/bags (fresh produce, cans, eggs, milk, & other perishables/non-perishables & cleanup.
-Registration (will be walking/on feet the whole shift, must be bilingual (Eng-Spa) for this duty & should complete CTFB Online Civil Rights Training prior to volunteering.
-Food distributors (placing food boxes/bags in families' cars)
-Traffic control (guiding traffic through the lot) -Cleanup (everyone)
