Food insecurities are more common in Jackson County due to the Covid-19 outbreak. Many seniors and other individuals in Jackson County need assist meeting their nutritional needs. There are many ways to help without coming in to direct contact with others:
- Collect non-perishables for The Shed in Brownstown. (across from police station)
- Collect non-perishables for The Shed in Freetown.

Description
The Jackson County United Way Volunteer Action Center was created in November of 2010 to connect the volunteers of Jackson County to the agencies who are in need of their skills and services.
