ORGANIZATION: Grand Rapids Public Museum

Volunteers interact with guests by facilitating a mobile, artifact-based Discovery Cart exhibit. Carts are related to larger exhibits throughout the museum and volunteers may choose the cart that best matches their interest. All educational material and training is provided. Scheduling is based on volunteers’ availability and is especially open to volunteers at least 14 years old on weekends. Discovery Cart volunteers receive free parking, Museum discounts, and free membership after 12 shifts.

The Public Museum seeks volunteers to assist in fulfilling our mission as a educational institution to collect, preserve and present the natural, cultural and social history of the region.
