Compassus Volunteer Program

Compassus hospice is seeking ANGELS. Angel volunteers are the heart of hospice. They walk with others who are on their final and most sacred journey or in their last hours. They are non-medical volunteers trained to provide emotional support to the patient and caregiver in the last hours of life. They are the Alliance of Neighbors Giving End-of-Life Support.

The goal of the program is to provide a physical, compassionate presence during the last hours of living to hospice patients having only one or no primary caregiver. Angel volunteers ensure that each patient has a hand to hold during their last hours of life.

Volunteer training is required and additional ANGELS training is offered twice a year. Training is free of charge. Become a part of our elite, specialty volunteers - become an angel.
