Sign up for Sharing Smiles, a project of Empowering the Ages, and we'll connect you with an isolated person of a different generation, through mail or email. We especially encourage children, youth, and seniors to join in. Communication is screened by staff and you may remain anonymous to your writing partner. You can find pen pals, write joint stories, create poetry, share artwork, inspire with motivational quotes, and creatively share your individual strengths. Social distancing does not have to mean social isolation-it’s just changing the way we relate to one another. Now is a more important time than ever to connect older and younger people with one another, to make sure everyone knows that someone cares. Email smiles@empoweringtheages.org to get started.

We connect and empower people directly through our own signature programs, and we consult with other organizations to help them fulfill their missions with an intergenerational mindset. We strive for a world where people from all generations contribute to each other’s well-being, feel connected and are valued for their unique skills and perspectives.
