VITAS Healthcare is currently looking for a Proactive Caller Volunteer to check in on hospice patients and caregivers to see how they are doing. This volunteer role consists of making phone calls from your own home contacting patients and caregivers once a week for up to 2 hours. VITAS provides a Zoom training with detailed instructions for making the calls and staff provide ongoing guidance and supervision.
If you enjoy talking on the phone, helping others and would like to make a difference directly from you own home, being a Proactive Caller Volunteer is right for you. The hours are flexible and we appreciate anytime you are able to contribute. Please note that this volunteer opportunity is for Missouri and Illinois applicants only.
If you would prefer to make calls directly from our office instead of at home, this is also an option.
