We hope all of our fur friends near and far, and your family members (two and four legged) are staying safe in the midst of this confusing and worrisome time in our world.
Here at Animal Shelter Inc., we are doing our best to adjust to restricted operations and transports, but just like each of you, we thrive on social interaction, and keeping our distance from our beloved volunteers, supporters, and adopters is a challenging adjustment to make.
We wanted to update you on a few things you can do to continue supporting us even when you can't come clean a kennel or help socialize the new arrivals here at the shelter.
1. Wooftrax- Walk for a Dog: This is a FREE mobile app that tracks your walks, runs, or aimless meandering and raises money for a charity of your choice each time you use the app. You can see who else is walking for STERLING ANIMAL SHELTER- ANIMAL SHELTER INC. 's pack, and where you stand on the leaderboards. You can add your pets as your walking companions and track your milage when you head out for your daily walk. There are even occasionally additional challenges you can opt into that win you AND your shelter extra funds.
2. Amazon Smile- If you're online shopping in your time of quarantine, check out our charity wish list, or support us each time you make an amazon purchase by making Animal Shelter Inc. your charity of choice, and adding *smile.amazon.com to your taskbar. Why?

Our Mission The Animal Shelter Inc. of Sterling, Massachusetts is a non-profit organization and no-kill shelter. The shelter provides humane sheltering and care for stray, unwanted, abused and neglected animals. The staff is dedicated to finding good homes for adoptable pets and we continue to promote responsible pet ownership to improve the quality of life for the animals and people in our community. The Shelter is supported entirely by donations from private individuals and through mandatory surrender and adoption fees. The Animal Shelter, Inc. does not receive support from the United Way or from federal, state or local governments.
