ORGANIZATION: HELPING CHILDREN WORLDWIDE INC

Do you love social media and are you passionate about helping extremely vulnerable children in the developing world? Do you have experience serving with a global missions organization such as Compassion, World Vision or IJM? We are looking for someone who is creative and social media savvy to share stories and updates about our missions in Sierra Leone with our Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and LinkedIn audience.

Responsibilities:

  • Create engaging social media content using our photos and drawing from our news blog
  • Draft and schedule posts for maximum impact
Skills:
  • Extensive knowledge of Facebook, Instagram, and other social media platforms.
  • Canva or other social media content creator; graphic design skill a plus
  • Know how to use social media scheduler (we use Sprout Social)
  • Strong communication skills
  • Experience with global missions organizations
This opportunity is perfect for a college student or recent grad looking for a nonprofit internship, or for anyone seeking experience in the nonprofit sector. We are seeking a serious minded volunteer, who loves global missions and social media, and is able to commit their time to this very important position. Helping Children Worldwide is strengthening communities in Sierra Leone, one of the poorest countries in the world, by supporting programs that provide vulnerable children and their families with opportunities for education, health care, and spiritual mentoring. The Child Rescue Centre (CRC) and Mercy Hospital are especially focused on education, family stability, maternal health, infant survival, and childhood nutrition. By partnering with local government and child advocacy organizations in Sierra Leone, the CRC and Mercy Hospital help children and families achieve their wonderful, God-given potential.
