Volunteering is truly the gift that rewards the giver as much as the recipient.

Carefully chosen and carefully trained, our volunteers bring an open heart and an extra pair of hands while they donate their time, efforts, and talents to patients and their loved ones.

Volunteer opportunities are available in the area of administration.

It takes a special person to be a volunteer. Here are some of the qualities that make our volunteers so successful:

• Non-judgmental attitude: our volunteers set aside their own attitudes and beliefs
• Warmth and compassion: hospice volunteers are experts at holding hands

Hospice of Cabarrus County Volunteer Opportunities

Administrative Volunteers:
Tuck-in Volunteer provides telephone calls to patients and families residing at home utilizing a Tuck-in script to ensure they have supplies, medications, equipment, and pain control prior to the weekend. Additionally, these calls provide companionship and emotional support for patients and family members.

Shifts:
Currently, we are seeking Thursdays or Fridays from 9:30 am- 11:00 am. These calls are made from home using Google Voice.
