Volunteers are the community drivers in every Run site in Canada. Together with a committee of like-minded individuals, you will raise funds for breast cancer research and support programs through the Canadian Cancer Society CIBC Run for the Cure. Planning and organizing the Run takes time, passion and creative thinking. In partnership with volunteers and staff, you will be part of something truly extraordinary in your community. Safety is a priority during the planning process for you and your team.

Through collaboration with your Co-Volunteer Run Director you will lead meetings, motivate your committee, and act as a local ambassador for the Society. You will assist in identifying vacant committee positions, and work with your fellow committee members to fill any voids, in collaboration with the Society. The Society is confident your leadership will ensure the Run site’s fundraising goal is top of mind by working with committee members to ensure tasks are completed in a timely and professional manner

Throughout your volunteer experience you will receive the constant support of the staff at the Society who will answer your questions, provide guidance, and connect you with other Run volunteer leaders.
