Seeking digital designers to get out the 2020 progressive vote

This volunteer opportunity is with Movement Voter Project (MVP) and Community Change Action (CCA), organizations that funnel money and strategic support to upwards of 400 get-out-the-vote (GOTV) groups in +40 states across the country. MVP and CCA focus in particular on mobilizing marginalized and disenfranchised communities, those that are critical to the left's chances of winning elections this fall.

MVP and CCA are sponsoring a digital media campaign for the benefit and use of the hundreds of grassroots get-out-the-vote organizations in their networks.

That's where we need your design talent. The left does not have a cohesive visual lexicon right now, one that celebrates the values and inspirational heroes that are our true motivation to get to the polls this fall, more so than any particular politician. Our ask is for several hours of your time to participate in a "design jam" with other designers. During this design jam, the goal is to develop templates we can customize with a variety of images and language that would resonate with specific niches across the GOTV groups that MVP and CCA support. Think of this as going door-to-door to get voters out to the polls, but from the comfort of your home, and with your design skills.

We will be creating graphics that support numerous causes, including climate justice, immigrant rights, protecting national forests, LGBTQ+ rights, women's rights, gun control, opioid addiction treatment, and other major policy areas in dire need of support. You will be able to dedicate your efforts to any and all values that you personally cherish and seek to uphold.
