If you answered yes to the above questions, then being the Blood Donor Screener position is for you!! The American Red Cross has implemented an additional volunteer position in the interest of safety for the blood supply, recipients, other donors, staff, volunteers and general public health during COVID-19. The Blood Donor Screener will ensure people entering blood drives have a healthy temperature and feel well. In this volunteer position you can volunteer just once or multiple times, the choice is yours!
Responsibilities include:
- Greet blood donors
- Welcome them to the blood drive
- Take potential blood donor temperatures and ensure they fall within guidelines
- Provide donors with information
- Answer basic questions
Qualifications include:
- Customer service skills
- Friendly disposition
- Punctual and dependable
- Ability to represent the Red Cross in a professional manner
Training is provided at no cost.
