We are seeking hospice volunteers to assist with local nursing home activities. If you are compassionate, caring, fun-loving and have a calling to help others, becoming a hospice volunteer might be the perfect opportunity for you. Our volunteers give their time, talent and hearts generously and unselfishly - yet commonly feel as if they receive more than they give.
Our volunteers may provide companionship, comfort and support to area nursing home residents. Compassus is proud to help our facilities by providing birthday cake once a month, playing games and doing arts and crafts with residents or just visiting. We want to help keep these seniors engaged and feeling a part of life. Your contribution could have such a huge impact on the lives of those living in our nursing facilities.
Training for Non-Medical volunteers is required and free of charge. We offer training several times a year and can work with your schedule to get you trained.
