ORGANIZATION: Southwestern CT Agency on Aging

  • 4 people are interested

The Southwestern CT Agency on Aging is providing a grocery bag delivery program for the most vulnerable and at-risk seniors in the lower Fairfield County region. We are in need of volunteers to assist with no-contact delivery of pre-prepared grocery bags to homes and senior housing complexes. Most of the deliveries are occurring between the hours of 9 AM and 2 PM. Most of the volunteer opportunities are in the Bridgeport area but several other towns in the lower Fairfield County region are in need of volunteers. Safety precautions, PPE and social distancing rules are taken seriously to protect both the volunteer and the senior. Volunteers must be 16 or older and be willing to undergo a background check.
