If you have a love for animals, hard work, and being outdoors then maybe you GOAT what it takes! Reborn Animal Refuge is seeking dedicated volunteers who don't mind getting a little... or a lot dirty to help with daily animal care chores for current rescues: cows, goats, ponies, sheep, and wolf-hybrids.
Animal Care Duties
- Animal husbandry: Mucking (scooping poop), handling, feeding, grooming, transporting, haltering, walking, and rehabilitating/spending quality time and treating rescues for for their enrichment and socialization.
- Building: Working with large and small equipment, tools/power tools; various types of work: digging, shoveling, weeding, snow removal, building, wood cutting, welding, transporting, driving, sweeping, painting, watering, planting, occasional lifting heavy amounts (eg. hay bales, lumbar), etc.
- Staffing fundraising/outreach events, digital media, organizational promotion, donor retention, marketing.
- Volunteers should be able to lift, pull, and push 65 lbs (small hay bale) occasionally and walk ~2+ miles per shift.
- All volunteers should be able to tolerate outdoor weather conditions.
Our long term goal is to rescue wild animals that are native to Colorado and are captive born and raised, such as bears, coyotes, bobcats, mountain lions, and foxes.
As a true sanctuary we will not breed, sell, exhibit or exploit animals. We are committed to educate the public about the captive animal crisis and to treat each animal with respect, love, and kindness.

Our mission is to rescue and provide life-long care for captive animals who have suffered from abuse, neglect, abandonment, exploitation, or been kept illegally; and to educate the public on the captive wildlife crisis and the value of animals and their lives.
Description
Reborn Animal Refuge of Colorado is a registered 501(c)3 non-profit wild animal refuge in Strasburg, CO sitting on 40 acres of land. Currently 10 of those acres are being utilized and are fenced in.
Reborn currently has 9 Hybrid Wolves, 4 Steers, 3 Goats, 1 African Sheep, 2 Mini-Ponies and 1 Barn cat that have been rescued from various situations.

REQUIREMENTS
- Driver's License Needed
- Must be at least 18
- Orientation or Training
- Minimum of 10 hours a month by working two, 5-hour shifts. Attend a volunteer group orientation onsite at Reborn on a specific date.
- Initial donation of $40, this will go directly to the purchase of your Reborn Volunteer T-shirt which is required to be worn while volunteering. *Experience with animals is helpful, but not required.
