During this unprecedented time, it’s easy to feel anxious and alone, especially for residents in our homeless shelter and senior housing. Receiving greeting cards in the mail brings a glimmer of hope and joy to their day, and lets them know they are being prayed for, cared about, and remembered.
1. Thoroughly wash your hands with soap and warm water while singing your favorite song.
2. Gather materials: greeting cards (or paper), writing utensil (pen, colored pencil, crayon, etc.), any decorations, envelopes, stamps.
3. Write an encouraging message, such as:
"Dear friend,
I know these times can be tough, but you are tougher! I wanted to let you know I am thinking of and praying for you. I hope this card brightens your day! - Sally"
4. Address the envelope(s) to one of our participating sites below.
5. Mail your card(s)!
