Come take a ride on the Prairie Thunder Railroad! Better yet, come drive the train yourself! Our zoo train is a big hit with visitors young and old, and we need reliable volunteers to help us keep it running throughout the spring & summer 2021. No prior knowledge needed, just a clean driving record--we'll train you. Engineer cap and overalls optional, friendly attitude a must.

Description
The Hutchinson Zoo is an integral part of the community, serving as an outlet for education and recreation for children and families! Our volunteer program has many positions available and serves to provide work experience for future zoo professionals, create opportunities for adults to give back to their community, and help the zoo make the most of our human resources.

- Orientation or Training
- Minimum twice monthly, but preferably weekly shifts, 4-6 hours.
- Must be friendly and willing to interact with guests. Need to be physically able to climb in and out of the train. No mechanical knowledge required!
