Gentiva Hospice volunteers are vital members of our caring team for patients and families. We provide excellent training and on-going support for our volunteers, who make an incredible difference in people's lives. Patient support volunteers make regular visits, providing companionship, emotional support, and care. Some also relieve caregivers who need to take a break. We are proud members of the We Honor Veterans Program, vets who volunteer to support vets and their families while they are on hospice care with us. Our volunteers always say they receive far more than they give--but our patients, families, and staff all know what a wonderful difference volunteers make--because they bring the most important gift of all--caring!

Description
Give your time, your talents and your heart...
Volunteers are an integral part of the hospice philosophy. Hospice volunteers are there to hold a hand and listen, read or write a letter, some even help out in our office. Volunteers are there to step in when a family member needs a break. No matter what your skills, talents or motivation, we have an opportunity for you to help.
