The American Red Cross is looking for individuals who have some dispatch experience to assist the disaster team with dispatching local disaster calls that come into our region. This is a work from home position.
Other responsibilities include:
- Providing assistance to responders by entering information into a data base and activating Client Assistant Cards remotely
- Dispatch responders to the scene of a disaster in a timely manner (within 30
minutes)
- Contact Disaster Mental Health and Health Services when situation is warranted, facilitate contact with clients needing these services
- Provide information for referrals to partner agencies if caller does not
qualify for DAT services or has reached the limits of financial aid.
Volunteer as little as 8 hours per month or more!
