Hello and thank you for your interest in writing for Team Corona Busters.

It started in March 2020 as a grassroots movement of volunteers coming together to make face masks for healthcare workers in need. Team Corona Busters provides these supplies at no cost to the recipients. Currently, they have a team of busters across the globe, sewing and distributing healthcare face masks to front line defenders in response to the COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic. This is an urgent public health issue where face masks are desperately needed.

With a mission to provide healthcare supplies across the globe during a public health crisis or catastrophic event, Team Corona Busters is managed by a core team of founding members with one single goal in mind - to save lives.

Team Corona Busters is an internal nonprofit project of GVNG.org, a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization. Donations are tax deductible to the extent allowed by law. EIN: 81-2446261.

Writing for Team Corona Busters requires an ability to engage the interests of the public with local and national topics from a variety of resources. The list below represents suggested styles for the author - freelance or student writers. Authors can be creative and share their passion for journalism while on topic.

Typical content should range from 600 to 800 words using third person writing styles and refrain from first-person point of view except for Op-Ed pieces and some interviews. Third person is the he/she/it/they perspective. There should be 2-6 external links in every article.

Conversational reporting with noted people/groups including doctors, nurses, healthcare specialists, etc.

Recurring Columns

Follows an established theme and provides knowledge or advice.

Op-Ed Pieces

Opinion pieces on topical issues relative to face masks, public health, etc. which may lead to different opinions.

Fiction

Written story for recreational reading.
