Every time someone moves from one of our programs into their own home or apartment, we try to make sure they have the necessities. This is even more essential to those moving in right now. For a person who is vulnerable and homeless, moving into stable housing is the best chance they will have to protect themselves from COVID-19. Once we move people into a new unit, there’s a lot of things they still need to live there.

That’s where you come in! Think of the last time you moved into a completely unoccupied space - what did you need? We’re hoping to find some members of the community to collect items for Welcome Home kits. Got a lot of friends? Ask each of them to donate one thing! Please note, with the dignity of it’s recipient in mind, we ask that kits be made entirely of new items.

A full move in kit contains the following:

  • A set of sheets, comforter, and pillow(s)
  • Set of dishware
  • Set of silverware
  • One medium sized appliance
  • Laundry basket
  • Bucket of cleaning supplies
  • Essential Toiletries
This is the type of project that anyone can tackle. Whether you're just one caring soul or a whole group of them, you can help us make people feel safe and at home.
