ORGANIZATION: Raise a Child of the Carolinas

The Program Committee volunteer is responsible for the creation, support and implementation of educational programs for the kindergarten to 2nd grade students who participate in our after school program. This is an ideal role for:

A current or former teacher who enjoys developing fun and innovative lesson plans to engage students OR
College students or recent grads from Education degree programs who are looking for experience OR
Anyone who is passionate about helping all children recognize and benefit from the value of quality education

Time commitment is 1-2 hours weekly.

Major Accountabilities:

Oversee development of fun and interactive programs centered around one of our core focus areas of S.T.R.E.A.M, Entrepreneurship, Financial Literacy, Health & Fitness, and College and Career Readiness.

Monitor and assess existing programs

Initiate and guide program evaluations

Facilitate discussions about program priorities for the agency


Ideal Background:
At a minimum attending high school
Previous experience, not necessary.
Teaching, mentoring or coaching experience preferred.
