ORGANIZATION: National Psoriasis Foundation

  • A group opportunity. Invite your friends.

Team NPF Cycle is a fundraising event for the National Psoriasis Foundation and will raise $20,000 for continued research to find a cure, improve treatments and much needed patient resources and programming. It will bring together patients, medical professionals, researchers, sponsors, and others to support the psoriatic community and bring more awareness to the disease.

Volunteers can assist in many ways. Volunteers could choose from helping with set-up the day before or help during the event itself. We’ll also need volunteers to help with clean-up and breakdown of the event. Each volunteer role will be assigned in shifts of two to four hours. Volunteers can volunteer for more than one shift.

Set-up may consist of carrying and moving items, setting up tables and chairs, distributing materials and collateral, hanging or posting signs and other similar tasks. Attire for set-up is comfortable casual/workout clothing, appropriate for the weather because volunteers will be outside.

Day of event volunteers could help at the host-site, Riverview Park or at one of our rest stops along the route for cyclist stop and refresh themselves. Host-site volunteers could be helping with various projects including setting up food and assuring it is available for both volunteers and participants. Rest stop volunteers will happily meet and greet riders along with thanking them and encouraging them on their ride. It will also include mixing sports drink, keeping beverages cold, preparing fruit and snacks, and restocking as needed. Attire for all roles is comfortable casual/workout clothing, appropriate for the weather because volunteers will be outside.

Event break down may consist carrying and moving items, folding tables and chairs, removing materials and signs, picking up trash and other similar tasks. Attire for breakdown is c comfortable casual/workout clothing, appropriate for the weather because volunteers will be outside.

Volunteers will be provided with a volunteer t-shirt (to keep) along with food and refreshments. We advise volunteers bring jacket, raingear and sunscreen.
