Blood saves lives, make a donor's experience memorable! Allen County-IN
American Red Cross-Indiana Region
The need for blood is constant and is irreplaceable, our community understands this need and is responding greatly to donate blood which is why now more than ever our Collections staff needs your help.
Red Cross blood drives have the highest standards of safety and infection control-and do not fall in the category of "mass gatherings." Preventative and protective efforts are in place where we provide protective equipment to all staff and volunteers, practice safe distancing by spacing beds, regularly clean areas, and pre-screen all blood donors to assure healthy and eligible donors are able to give.
*For a full list and more information on safety protocols, please visit our website here: https://www.redcrossblood.org/donate-blood/dlp/coronavirus--covid-19--and-blood-donation.html
Our Donor Screeners fill this incredibly important position by taking temperatures of each of our donors at blood drives for staff to continue focusing on the continuing life-saving mission of blood collection.
