CAPITAL CARING HEALTH
We are looking for you because several of our Capital Caring Health social workers and nurses are asking for items to help with anxiety, pain, isolation. Research shows tactile stimulation can help to "center" or refocus those in pain, those who are experiencing anxiety or those with dementia.
Sensory quilts, blankets, twiddle muffs and aprons- I can’t express how comforting these items are to patients who are in pain or anxious, we anticipate the few months we will see an increase in the need for these. These can be made a variety of ways and with a variety of items, creativity is endless here. Here is one link https://www.goldencarers.com/how-to-make-sensory-blankets-for-dementia-care/5020/
