Learn about nonprofit development from home and help provide students with an education
Are you self-motivated and interested in learning more about peer-to-peer fundraising with an international nonprofit? Do you have experience working in Latin America or care deeply about education? Build your skills and enhance your resume by becoming an Ambassador with BPP this holiday season!
Barrio Planta Project (BPP) is a nonprofit organization that provides high-quality education to children with limited resources in Nicaragua and Mexico. We’re committed to educating our students no matter what is going on in the world and are looking for Ambassadors to assist us with our HolidayFundraising Campaign. This is a remote position, with training and weekly meetings held online.
We are looking for volunteers who have:
- Strong written communication skills.
- Excellent working knowledge of different social media platforms.
- Strong relationships with influences in the community.
- A passion for education, development, or Latin America.
We are putting together a team of Ambassadors to help us raise money to continue to provide our free, supplementary educational programs at all of our schools. We will help you build your own fundraising page, give you a detailed toolkit, and development professionals will meet with you in small weekly meetings to teach you the basics of online fundraising. With the right team, we know our Spring Campaign will be a success!
This is a volunteer position, but we do not accept all applicants into the BPP Ambassador program. We will conduct a short interview prior to the campaign.
Benefits:
- Goal-based fundraising incentives available, including joining a student sponsorship program and on-site volunteer opportunities
- Customized training and evaluation provided through weekly meetings with a development consultant
- Detailed Toolkits for successful fundraising and outreach provided to each ambassador
- The ability to make a difference in the lives of children in vulnerable communities worldwide
- Upon success in the volunteer program, ambassadors will receive a certificate of completion from BPP.
- Those who raise $1000 or more will become student sponsors and will be able to virtually meet their student!
Do you think you have what it takes to be a BPP Ambassador? If you’re interested in joining our team please send your resume and a brief cover letter to ambassador@barrioplantaproject.org by October 19th.
Dates: May 4 - June 30.
