Mission Statement
Affinity Hospice's mission is to ensure all people have the opportunity to receive compassionate end of life care, which preserves dignity and provides comfort. Our goal is to provide comprehensive coordinated care to individuals with life-limiting illnesses and to support their families during the processes of death and bereavement.
Description
Affinity Hospice serves many communities in Alabama, providing medical, emotional, physical and spiritual support by the specially trained individuals of our interdisciplinary care teams. We provide comfort and security in patient's homes, wherever the patient may live. We believe in the quality of life and are committed to helping our patients to live life as alert and pain free as possible.
Affinity Hospice provides a multifaceted support system for the patient and family. Our care includes comforting care by nurses, physicians, social workers, certified nursing assistants, clergy, and volunteers. Our physicians are available 24/7, which greatly reduces or eliminates the need for emergency room visits or hospitalizations.
Our staff and volunteers support human values. Our team of volunteers offer non-medical support to the patient and their family members, providing the something "more" which may be needed to assist patients to live their final days with dignity, comfort and support.
