Suicide is the 10th leading cause of death in the United States, but there is something we can do about it. Each year, thousands of people participate in the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention’s Out of the Darkness Community Walks, raising awareness and letting people know they are not alone.

Join us for our Pittsburgh Out of the Darkness Community Walk on Saturday, September 12th at Stage AE, as we walk to fight suicide. Funds raised support research, education, advocacy, and support for those affected by suicide.

Suicide prevention starts with everyday heroes like you. Come be a part of the movement that’s helping create a culture that’s smart about mental health.

Register today to create your walk team, and join our movement to prevent suicide in our communities. To get more information and to register for our Pittsburgh Out of the Darkness Community Walk, please copy and paste the link below into your web browser to access our website.

Thanks to Walkers and Donors like you, AFSP has been able to set a bold goal to reduce the national annual suicide rate 20% by the year 2025!

Raise $150 by 09/12/2020 and receive an official Out of the Darkness Walk T-shirt!

The Out of the Darkness Walk is a journey of remembrance, hope, and support. It unites our communities and provides an opportunity to acknowledge the ways in which suicide and mental illness have affected our lives and the lives of those we love and care about.
