Plant It Forward farmers are among the essential workers who are keeping our community going as we all work through the COVID-19 pandemic and its effects. Our farmers show up for Houston every day of the week and in return they are asking for your support. make us masks! We would appreciate homemade cloth masks to help keep everyone healthy during the pandemic.

Plant It Forward empowers refugees to develop sustainable urban farming businesses that produce fresh, healthy food for our community.
Description
We envision thriving farmers, enriching Houston's vibrant landscape. Since 2012, we have enabled refugees with agricultural backgrounds to put their skills to use by creating urban farming businesses. Plant It Forward provides training, access to land, and access to fair markets. Our hardworking farmers do the rest.
To date, we have trained over 40 aspiring farmers and have supported 18 farm startups. We currently work with a network of 14 farmers operating 8 farms on 4 sites throughout urban Houston.
