ORGANIZATION: AARP Indiana

  • 2 people are interested

In a changing Hoosier state, AARP Indiana’s Digital Community Advocate volunteers fight for a better quality of life and address the needs of people in towns and cities from Gary, all the way down to Evansville.

Digital Community Advocate volunteers can expect to share information on their social media networks about their communities, raise their voices on local policy issues, ranging from transit to housing, and act as AARP Indiana’s eyes and ears in their communities - even if it is from behind a computer or smartphone screen. In times of an unprecedented national challenge, it is crucial to share helpful information and understand what is going in your town or city.

The Digital Community Advocate also helps inform AARP Indiana’s efforts furthering the Social Impact Agenda by engaging in the virtual world. Additionally, the Digital Community Advocate helps assure the state office stays connected with, and responsive to, the local community’s needs.

If you enjoy staying connected and using social media to help inform your friends, family, and neighbors, the Digital Community Advocate volunteer position is for you!

For more information, contact Dan Domsic at ddomsic@aarp.org or call him at 317-778-9108.
