Our Affordable Rental Movement provides more than 190 units of affordable housing in Maricopa County (most are in the East Valley). Volunteers play a vital role in our "Welcome Home" program by cleaning and painting homes to help prepare units for new families to move in after another family has been able to move on to new housing. Save the Family will provide all supplies, including bottled water. Projects can be completed within 3 to 4 hours when a group of 6 to 8 volunteers participate. We schedule group projects Monday through Friday during agency business hours and on Saturdays. Paint and clean group projects can be scheduled for up to six months in advance. We are currently on hold for this project until the end of August due to COVID-19, but are still scheduling groups in September and beyond.
