The Chippewa Valley VA Clinic is seeking friendly, outgoing Volunteers to greet and assist customers. The Ambassador will make and offer coffee to customers, provide location of restrooms and other areas in the clinic. These Volunteers maintain the lobby area, stock brochures in waiting areas, and assist in restocking supplies in various clinic areas. Volunteers may make appointment reminder calls to patients or have other roles as needed.
Volunteers are asked to commit to a 4 hour shift, once a week. Openings are available 7:30 am to 4:30 pm, Monday through Friday.
With current OSHA and VA safety policies and procedures during the COVID pandemic, all Volunteers are required to wear a medical face mask. VHA Directive 1193 and VA Handbook 5019 requires that Volunteers in this role have a documented COVID-19 vaccine and Flu vaccine.

Comprehensive health care is provided through primary care, tertiary care and long-term care in areas of medicine, surgery, psychiatry, physical medicine and rehabilitation, neurology, oncology, dentistry, geriatrics and extended care. The Minneapolis VA Health Care System provides for the health care needs of Veterans in Minnesota and western Wisconsin.
