We are a nonprofit organization seeking high school volunteers who are academically qualified and passionate about helping others to provide free online academic tutoring services for kids. All lessons will be held on Zoom, and each tutor will be paired with multiple kids based on academic subject and personality. You will be booking your own lessons, so the timing is flexible and up to you. All of your hours will count towards your actual volunteer hours and it can also count towards the Presidential Service Award.
You can also apply to tutor different subjects, like music, sports, or hobbies like chess.

Description of our tutoring program: During this COVID-19 crisis, we know a lot of schools have shut down and this is detrimental for the academic and educational growth of students. Our organization is offering free online tutoring for kids ages 5-17 in any school subject. We are high school/college students who are academically qualified: we have taken many AP classes with high GPA averages, and we have been vetted to make sure we are up to par with teaching standards. If you know of any students in the Bay Area who might be interested in taking these free online tutoring lessons, you can direct them to juniorcoachgolf.org to register an account and email us at info@juniorcoachgolf.org to sign up. (We used to teach free golf lessons, but now we are shifting to online tutoring school subjects because we feel it is more essential currently.)

Description
We want to let more kids share their passion. At JuniorCoach, our youth volunteers teach all the things they're passionate about, whether it's English literature, playing the piano, or golfing, to a student in a high-need community. All of our resources are free, since it is our mission to expand accessible education, whether it's the formal definition of education, or the informal definition of education in terms of extracurriculars or teaching essential life skills.
We are proud to have taught 2500+ lessons (sports, arts, academics) in just two years for youth in 12 states. We are continuously wanting to spread our mission to more communities.
