Real Change Homeless Empowerment Project
Throughout Seattle, you've likely noticed Real Change vendors working hard to sell the award-winning weekly newspaper to customers. Yet due to COVID-19, customers are sparse and the income vendors depend upon for food is alarmingly low, or has vanished altogether.
Individuals experiencing homelessness amid this pandemic and without reliable access to food need your help. Today, you can make a HUGE impact on the life of a Real Change News vendor by donating critically needed food.
It's easy! Choose any of the below projects to join and contact us to get started:

Real Change exists to provide opportunity and a voice for low-income and homeless people while taking action for economic, social and racial justice.
Founded in 1994, the Real Change Homeless Empowerment Project is an award-winning nonprofit newspaper that provides immediate employment opportunity to homeless and low-income people throughout the Pacific Northwest. Highly regarded as the leading street newspaper in North America, Real Change provides a low-barrier employment opportunity to an average of 250 homeless and low-income individuals each month while challenging the structures that create poverty. We envision a just, caring and inclusive community, where people are no longer marginalized by racism and classism and have the means to live with dignity.
