During these uncertain times, how can we help?

We are looking for a team of committed coaches to join our artistic team and help us take the SoulDeevas' team to the next level!
Our new season begins on August 1st. If it is safe to return to normal practices by then, the teams will hold practice on Saturdays from 12:30pm to 3:30pm at the Pearl Studios in the Penn Station area of Manhattan (8th Ave/West 35th). If not, we will remain virtual and coaches will schedule days/times that work for them to teach via Zoom. We hope to recruit two coaches per team to cover one another in the event of absence.
We are recruiting coaches for FIVE majorette teams -
1. The Minis (girls, ages 5 to 7) - two positions available
2. The Juniors (girls, ages 8 to 12) - one position available
3. The Seniors (girls, ages 13 to 18) - one position available
4. Collegiate (girls, ages 19-over) - two positions available
5. The Nationals (girls, ages 13 to 18) - this team will only meet online, but will travel to NYC quarterly.
Each team will have a roster of about fifteen girls and we generally find that they are beginners - with about 10% of each team's members having some form of dance experience. They love a challenge and we find that they rise to the occasion. The teams will be trained to perform and compete on local and national stages.
While coaching and majorette dance experience is not critical - experience in hip-hop dance is mandatory. We will consider a recent high school graduate with significant dance experience and will also consider a rising high school senior as an assistant coach for the Minis. Our primary ask is that you be consistent. The girls will be faithful and diligent and will expect the same from their coach. Please do not apply if you cannot make the commitment to be faithful and diligent for them.
Interested candidates should respond letting us know about their dance experience and any burning questions that they have. Please tell us which of the team(s) you are interested in leading. We will respond immediately. Thank you for your interest and please stay safe and sane.
