Eco Urban Gardens is facing a difficult time right now as our school programs are shut down for the rest of the year. This has caused funding to dry up in certain areas and put two of our teachers out of work. In order to make sure there is enough funding to cover teacher salaries for summer months and fall of 2020 we need to raise $10,000. I have created a fundraising campaign to highlight Earth Day on April 22nd. The fundraiser will include gifts to accompany donations which can be mailed to your location. All donation amount are suggestions and any amount donated is appreciated.
Our Executive Director and myself (Program Manager) are working hard applying for grants every day to make sure we are covered for next year. We are asking the online community to help spread the word.
To participate simply forward the fundraising campaign email to as many contacts as you can and post about the fundraising campaign on your social media. We have about 800 people on our mailing list but need to reach a lot more in order to make this a successful campaign.

Mission Statement

Our goal is to guide you how to grow your own food in your backyard by building and cultivating a garden with edibles, native and drought-tolerant plants. At Eco Urban Gardens, we assist with the design of your garden and teach the importance of growing native edible plants. It is our mission to be mindful of the environment and grow food locally that is seasonal and sustainable.

Description

Farm to School is one of our most important programs to serving the community. We believe that each child deserves to know how to grow their own food to prepare a wholesome meal. We educate school children in organic farming and assist with cultivating their edible plants. Students learn the joy of taking care of their plants, while learning valuable lessons about sustainability and caring for their environment. The lesson plan includes how to grow organic produce, promote local and sustainable agriculture, teach organic farming and support a lifestyle of healthy eating and active living.
