Pack and/or Distribute Food for Those in Need

Lutheran Social Service of MN

Partner with us to provide food for those in need. The current crisis has made access more difficult for our neighbors who utilize the Food Pantry and Community Meals based at the Center for Changing Lives, 2400 Park Avenue, South Minneapolis. Precautions are taken to protect both volunteers and people receiving food.

We will accommodate your schedule. Opportunities vary based on the most urgent needs and include:

  • Packing items for distribution
  • Distributing food

There are opportunities available on most days of the week. Community Meals are packed to go and distributed every Thursday. Thank you for your support and partnership!

Description

LSS is the largest, statewide non-profit social service agency in Minnesota with over 2, 400 employees who serve in 300 communities. It is owned by the six Minnesota synods of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA). Services are divided into four divisions:

  • Children and Youth
  • Families and Adults
  • Older Adults
  • People with Disabilities

Volunteers are a growing part of LSS with more than 10,000 active volunteers working for the vision: LSS Volunteers change lives by encouraging hope and connecting communitites, by energizing staff and enhancing services, by growing their own talents and sense of purpose.
