Volunteer woth the Department on Aging
The Department on Aging provies services for seniors throughout Butler County. Anything from general information, to transportation, to helping seniors stay in their own homes is provided.
Check in Charlie volunteers call seniors that don't have anyone to check in on them and makes sure the senior is doing well. Day stockers take information booklets to different areas around Butler County to help get the word out on the services provided. There is also a need for volunteer transportation providers who would help seniors ge to out of town Dr. appointments. Volunteers are needed to help teach seniors to do taxes, teach about Medicare, and the Medical Service Bureau. Please contact for full list of opportunities.
Terms: Car Required - Must Provide Own Transportation, Volunteer must be at least 55 years of age

Join other Butler County RSVP members in providing volunteer services that contribute to a better quality of life for our entire community! RSVP provides opportunities for people 55 and over to make a difference in their community through volunteer service. RSVP volunteers contribute as many hours as they chose, serving through RSVP projects sites and other nonprofit and public organizations to help meet critical community needs. RSVP offers maximum flexibility and choice to its volunteers. RSVP matches the personal interests and skills of older Americans with opportunities to help solve community problems and offers supplemental insurance while on duty, pre-service orientation, and on-the-job training from the agency or organization where volunteers are placed.
