Spanish Translator- Marketing materials

SMBGC is currently looking to support our community by providing a Spanish translator for all parental program related correspondence.

In the face of the COVID-19 pandemic, The Boys & Girls Clubs of Santa Monica has made significant efforts to remain viable to our kids and their families. We are shifting our model to provide distance-learning and services online, raising money for direct cash assistance, and harnessing resources for program support for our under-resourced kids and families.

Responsibilities may include:

• Translating our marketing materials and written copy into Spanish versions for families and community members to read. Providing bilingual/Spanish options for viewership and reading
• Translating content/messages for us on a weekly, if not daily basis
• Able to amplify our messages and exposure
• On-going communication between our Marketing Associate and Volunteer Director
• Must have access to personal platforms, software, and devices with editing capabilities

Desired Qualifications:

• Since there are so many conversational styles of Spanish, the ideal volunteer would be a native speaker who is comfortable translating into a common derivative of the language
• Experience in philanthropy and non-profits a plus
